He obtained his BSW from Murray State University with magna cum laude honors in 2016 before relocating to Louisville. He is currently pursing an MBA degree from the University of Louisville. With over six years of experience in the non-profit sectors and community outreach, he dedicates himself to being a catalyst of social change within systems that perpetuate oppression. He has received certifications in Racial Trauma Training (RTT) and is a trainer on behalf of Trauma Resilient Communities (TRC).

Through his youth education work, he received the Living The Vision Award, presented on behalf of the Kentucky Center for Performing Arts and the Louisville Mayor's Office. Demarco has since expanded on this educational work by helping to facilitate other youth-centric projects and programming with the Louisville Free Public Libraries. He has recently partnered with the Louisville Metro Office of Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods to address youth violence. As Community Partner Manager at the non-profit organization Maryhurst Inc, he has been instrumental in bridging the gap of mental health access and resources in Louisville's South and West End communities.
